ABOUT
Neurotoxin for TMJ Relief
Are you dealing with jaw pain, tightness, or teeth grinding? Neurotoxin treatment may help support TMJ symptom relief by reducing overactivity in key jaw muscles. At Pink Rose Aesthetics, we provide a comprehensive assessment and a personalized treatment plan designed around your symptoms, anatomy, and goals.
What to Expect
During your visit, your nurse practitioner will complete a thorough assessment and discuss your symptoms, jaw tension patterns, headaches, and clenching or grinding. We commonly treat the masseter and, when appropriate, the temporalis muscles, which are frequent contributors to TMJ discomfort.
How Does It Work?
Neurotoxin works by relaxing overactive muscles that contribute to tension and pain. Many clients notice less clenching, fewer tension headaches, and improved jaw comfort over time. Treatment is quick, typically well tolerated, and requires minimal downtime.
Dosage and Treatment
Dosing is individualized. Depending on your anatomy and symptom severity, total dosing often ranges from 20 to 60 units per side, with a customized plan for masseter and possible temporalis treatment. We aim for effective relief while maintaining natural function for chewing, speaking, and facial expression.
